Harnessing Behavioral Science, Tech and Innovation to Combat Distracted Driving
December 5, 2019 | University of Wisconsin, Madison (Madison, WI)
36,560 people died in U.S. motor vehicle crashes in 2018, including 588 in Wisconsin. On top of that, in 2017, more than 2.7 million people were injured nationally - nearly 7,500 every day. Distracted driving is one important factor contributing to roadway collisions today and it constitutes a serious and preventable health threat. Attendees joined us for this free dinner program exploring insights into human behavior, technological innovations, advances in auto safety and other developments that revealed promising approaches to combating distracted driving and saving lives.
Presented by the Travelers Institute, the Wisconsin School of Business Department of Risk and Insurance, the Independent Insurance Agents of Wisconsin, the Risk Managment and Insurance Society and the Wisconsin Insurance Alliance.
