Kicking Off Hurricane Preparedness Season Symposium 2016
May 26, 2016 | Charleston, SC
The Travelers Institute hosted its sixth annual Kicking Off Hurricane Preparedness Season symposium in collaboration with the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety and the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of South Carolina. Held just before the official start of hurricane season, the panel discussed how governments, businesses and families are preparing for these storms and how you can too.
During the event, Travelers awarded the second annual Travelers Excellence in Community Resilience Award to All Hands Volunteers, a nonprofit disaster relief organization that is committed to helping communities around the world recover after harsh weather or other devastating events. Presented by the Travelers Institute and the Travelers Foundation, the $100,000 grant recognizes organizations that help communities recover from natural disasters.
