"Overdraft" University Symposia Series

On October 7, 2013, students at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa joined The Can Kicks Back and the Travelers Institute for the Generational Equity Tour, a cross-country effort to activate and engage young people on the national debt. Led by millennials, the tour traveled to a new university each day, engaging with students in campus centers between classes and offering screenings of the nonpartisan debt documentary, “Overdraft,” in the evening. Students at Drake viewed the documentary, presented by the Travelers Institute, and participated in a “Debt Busters” exercise facilitated by the Concord Coalition.
