Apply for Grant Funding

Travelers accepts grant applications exclusively for Hartford, Connecticut, and St. Paul, Minnesota, primarily for project, program and operating support and for limited capital opportunities in the following three areas: Academic & Career Success, Thriving Neighborhoods and Culturally Enriched Communities. Before applying, please review the details related to these focus areas as outlined in our Giving Guidelines. If your organization is located in or serves Hartford or St. Paul and falls within the Travelers giving guidelines, please complete our application. Travelers will assess your request based on alignment with our community goals and guidelines and available funding. Funding requests are accepted on an ongoing basis and will be reviewed quarterly. Grant applications open annually in early January.

In other Travelers locations, we support employee-driven initiatives that provide our colleagues an opportunity to support their local communities through volunteerism. For that reason, we work with our employees to identify key organizations in their communities and do not accept unsolicited applications outside of Hartford, Connecticut, and St. Paul, Minnesota.

Grant Reporting Requirements

Grantees will be prompted to give information on their previous year's grant when applying for additional funding in the current year. Please be prepared to answer the following questions from your previous year's grant at the time of your new application:

Briefly outline the original goals and objectives, as stated in your proposal.
What progress has the organization made toward the original goals and objectives? And if progress wasn't made in certain areas, why?
What important measurable outcomes happened as a result of this grant?

If your organization is not planning to apply for additional funding for the same program/project but wishes to report on a previous year's grant, please send an email to the Travelers program officer assigned to your grant addressing the aforementioned questions.

If you’d like to request that Travelers sponsor your event, make sure to apply in time. Applications are due at least 12 weeks in advance of the event.
